Here at Prince of Peace those who are weekly adorers in our Perpetual Adoration Chapel belong to the Guild of St Thomas Aquinas so named because of the Angelic Doctor's great love for Christ in the Eucharist, which was expressed beautifully in his theological and liturgical texts. Here is one quotation from his Summa that struck me while reading today: "It is a law of friendship that friends should live together... Christ has not left us without His bodily presence on our pilgrimage, but he joins us to Himself in this sacrament in the reality of His body and blood." (Summa Theologiae III, 75, 1)
